My Project
My students are so deserving of every opportunity given to them. Most are unable to come with headphones or earbuds to use with their iPads during their independent work time. We are provided with a few, but they break within days of using them. We use various programs like Lexia, Epic, or Reflex during our independent work time, and having enough earbuds will help students to become less distracted by their classmates. Programs like Lexia require the students to listen to certain sounds or words and to identify the correct spelling. If they can't hear properly, the program may take longer for them to progress through. Third grade still is laying the foundational building blocks and having earbuds will help students be more focused on their own work because they aren't distracted by what is happening around them.
