This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I go to work every day with a smile and a positive attitude because I am lucky to work with 120 wonderful seventh graders. My students work hard and they are excited to learn and to succeed.
Most people give me looks of horror when I say I teach seventh graders because they can be a challenge, but they are a worthwhile challenge.
I work at a Title I school where the majority of my students qualify to receive free or reduced-price lunch. We work very hard with what we have, but we don't always have all the extra things that help.
My Project
My students have been through so much in the last three years and they have adjusted to new ways of learning like pros. They have adapted to using their chromebooks to work on assignments in class.
Now, my students need earbuds to further help them learn in class.
There are many great video clips available to help clarify new topics, but the noise of other computers can be distracting. Earbuds will allow my students to work at their own pace without distractions. Unfortunately, the majority of my students can't afford basic school supplies so earbuds would be an even bigger extra expense.
