This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I elementary school in Arizona. Our students come from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds. Over seventy percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch daily.

My school's mission focuses on academic, fitness, and personal achievements for both students and staff.

We believe all students can be successful and we try to give them every tool they need to reach their goals. Our staff teaches after school clubs throughout the year that range from art and dance to technology and math. We spend time in our classrooms, on announcements, and at assemblies celebrating the fitness and academic successes of our students and staff.

My Project

My students need more quality headphones to use in the classroom. Students use their Chromebooks for reading and math and often need to listen to videos or recorded directions.

These headphones will ensure that each student has their own set to use throughout the year.

This will help with both student safety and use of materials.

Having their own headphones will help students utilize their math and reading videos more efficiently. Students will also be better able to record and hear their own audio responses or videos by using these headphones.
