My Students
My classroom is a high school's special day class with an exciting group of various interests, abilities, and goals. All of my students have extensive support needs due to their intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments. Learning looks different for every student. Some of my students are learning how to read, write, and count, and some are learning how to follow directions or participate in a class. We work with each student individually to help them succeed in school and community setting. My classroom is about building skills to get included, and learn the way each student can.
My Project
The headphones will continue to enhance the my students' independent computer skills, as they will be able to focus more. My classroom is a place that my students enjoy - learning in small groups or independently! The headphones will allow my students to learn independently at their own pace. The colored paper will help my students finish their art projects this semester. This year we have been creating various self-portraits to learn more about ourselves and each other. The various colors of construction paper will enrich this project, and bring it to another level.
All these materials will enhance my students' independence in learning and expressing themselves.
