My students need sturdy headphones to use on the computer, with classroom Kindles, Chromebooks, at our listening center, with our classroom iPad and at our school computer lab.
My students are eager third graders from a high poverty public school.
They come to school excited to learn new things and to actively engage in learning.
All of the children receive free breakfast and lunch. We are a wraparound school that tries to provide for all the needs of our students. We need to provide them with access to technology at school because they don't have it in their homes. I purchase access to high quality websites and apps for my class. They love to see the amazing things that are offered to them on the web through the classroom computers, our Kindles, Chromebooks. iPad and in the school computer lab. We need sturdy headphones to allow us to experience these things during class.
My Project
These headphones will be used on our classroom computers, with our Kindles, iPad, Chromebooks and at our listening center. We will carry them to the computer lab for use there. These headphones will allow the children to listen to videos, books and use educational games to enhance our learning in all subject areas. Headphones are critical to have in a busy classroom so that the children can learn with technology while the other children are learning in stations throughout the room.
The classroom environment will be greatly improved by providing my students with comfortable, safe headphones for use in a variety of ways.
The children will be able to focus on learning instead of worrying about uncomfortable headphones that only work from one ear. The children will be utilizing technology to its fullest in a very comfortable fashion with these headphones.
