My Students
My students are 2nd graders in a dual-language classroom in Brooklyn.
My students are 2nd graders in a New York City public school.
They are in a dual-language program where they are learning in both French and English. Half of the students speak English at home, and half of the students speak French at home, but in school they each spend half the day in each language.
My Project
Students will receive weekly time at the listening center, during which they will be able to listen to an audiobook and follow along with the written text. This will allow them to make connections between the written word and the spoken word in French.

My students feel that every day, and getting to listen to books read in French will help them to connect spoken French with their reading.
