My classroom has the brightest and most talented students.
They just love, love, love to read and are always asking to choose new books. They love to read and listen to so many different types of books. They are eager to learn more each and every day. Our school is located in North Peoria and we are part of the Peoria Unified School District. Our school in surrounded by an open desert. It's beautiful! Our school is a wonderful place to learn and grow!
My Project
My students need 5 iPod shuffles, headphones, books, and CDs including Frog and Toad are Friends. If my students had individual listening stations with a variety of texts, they could become much better readers and thus enhancing their vocabulary and giving them the opportunity to become better and more fluent readers. Each student would have about 15-20 minutes each day for listening to books. I know if my students had a variety of good literature and fluent reading they could be able to become better readers themselves. My students need 5 iPod shuffles, headphones, books, and CDs including Frog and Toad are Friends.
The donations will improve my classroom by providing a variety of good literature and a personal listening device (iPod) my students can listen to fluent reading and thus giving them the opportunity to become better readers.
The use of technology will definitely change my students' lives for the better. I believe any use of technology can better anyone. Technology is very much needed in a classroom of the 21st century.
