My Project

My amazing students attend public school for their Pre-K education. We are a Title 1 school. Most of my students receive free or reduced lunches. They come from low-income families and some of our students have disabilities.

COVID has changed the way we have done things and children are different from before.

So, we must try new things and change the way we teach our little ones. Children must be taught how to play and have a good relationship with others. We are even having to potty train some students after they come to school.

My students are eager to learn and want to do well but they get tired and need to rest during the day. They are still young. My last project was nap mats. Thankfully, it was fully funded! Now I need a few extra crib sheets for the students who do not have one either because they cannot afford it for sanitary reasons. I have personally purchased several myself and several blankets for the ones who do not have them. They all fall off to sleep once they have, their needed materials. We are also limited in space, so the size of the items really matters.

We also need a listening center for the classroom to help teach our students to listen. Most of my students are young, early 4-year-old and this is their first experience with school. They have not been taught to listen and follow directions. What better way to learn to listen than a short high-interest book on CD with a small group of their peers. I need your help to make this happen! I am very thankful that you helped me before please help me again.
