This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom is full of vibrant, curious 4- and 5-year-olds who love to learn through play, sound, and movement. We are excited to create a music and listening center that will include hands-on musical instruments and a collection of engaging audiobooks with CDs. These resources will spark creativity and support the diverse ways young children learn best.

Musical instruments give students the opportunity to explore rhythm, sound, and self-expression, all while developing fine motor skills and coordination.

Audiobooks with CDs help build early literacy, listening comprehension, and vocabulary in a fun and accessible way. Together, these materials will support language development, memory skills, and cognitive growth in a joyful and age-appropriate environment.

Beyond academics, this center will nurture social-emotional learning and collaboration as students make music together, share instruments, and enjoy stories with their classmates. With your support, we can create a space where every child can engage, explore, and thrive through the power of music and storytelling. Thank you for helping us bring this vision to life!
