Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

4th grade students are full of a zest for life that is infectious. They are full of fun and sass; they are ready to be big kids but still have a bit of the little in them. In our school, we have 3 groups of 4th grade students and each teacher sees all of them each day! With 96 students, we still manage to have great relationships with them, too.

With dry erase markers, headphones, and pencils, we are setting our students up for a successful year of learning.

In math, students will use these items to draw and write about math, and use the headphones to play math games during centers as well as use them during testing. In science, students will use their supplies to make hypothesis, test their assumptions ,and revise their understanding. Headphones play a part in the simulations our science curriculum contains, because students have the opportunity to use a computer to "test" real-life problems on a regular basis! In ELA, students will use these items to write and learn about the English language, from reading to writing and all the things that come with them! We use computers to listen to stories, play games that help deepen our understanding and so much more!
