Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the teacher of a very curious group of students. They attend a school that is classified as a Title 1 facility. All of them qualify for the free food lunch program. The community they live in is stricken by a high level of poverty.

Despite these circumstances, they are so eager to please and be productive leaders.

They work so hard and come in each morning with a warm greeting and huge smile, which makes me look forward to each day.

My Project

I teach STEM and we are doing many exploration projects. The students will make videos of their learning to share with others. They will be able to view and listen to their classmates' video to further explore their learning and offer feedback.

My goal is to get the students comfortable using their voices to explain their learning.

This will also help my ESL students practice learning a new language. They will be able to hear themselves speak as well as their fellow classmates.

The splitters would be used when students work in groups and need to listen to the same video.
