This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class this year is an enthusiastic and eager mix of students from various cultural backgrounds. They have to work hard to overcome the obstacles that face them on a daily basis. However, they are eager to learn and always strive to do their best. The majority of my students (79%) receive free breakfast and lunch and they have very limited access to technology in the home. Giving them access to and practice with more technology in the classroom will help them become the successful 21st century learners that they want to be.

My Project

We are lucky enough to have a few iPads in our classroom but we need a safe place to store and charge these iPads when they are not in use. Students are devastated when it is their turn to use an iPad and the battery runs out in the middle of their project.

This charging station is the perfect solution to keeping our iPads charged and easily accessible to my knowledge hungry students.

It also provides space to store the headphones that accompany the iPads. These headphones are an important addition because they ensure students can hear what they are working on, without distracting those around them.
