My students need listening centers on CD and tape for our library media centers.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Youel's classroom raised $169
This project is fully funded
My Students
This year, I am relocating from the classroom to the library media center. I am so excited about this new opportunity! Knowing how students behaved in the library after checking out books, I realized that they need something more constructive with their time. Enter library media centers!
Our school is a Title I funded school, which means we have students from all over the socioeconomic ladder.
While our school is relatively new, we do not have many materials for centers in the library. Having a listening center is key in both the classroom as well as the media center.
My Project
My students need listening centers on CD and tape for our library media centers. Which students will this benefit? Our at risk Pre Kindergarten and autism classrooms will benefit from just listening to the spoken language. Our youngest readers in Kindergarten and first will benefit from tracking the books as they listen to the audio. The older students will benefit as well - it's a great way to enjoy a book you may normally not pick up!
By funding this project, students will be able to participate in listening centers during library time, thereby gaining the benefits of being read aloud to.
These items will also be shared with classroom teachers so that they may continue the benefits in their own room!
More than half of students from low‑income households
