This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For many students, reading is a challenge. One way I encourage students to push through challenging texts is by listening along!

Listening to an audio recording of a challenging text allows students to hear the text read by a model reader and gives them the opportunity to replay the text as many times as they need!

Headphones are the number one item most requested by students. With a classroom set of headphones, not only can students listen to a challenging text, but they can also listen at their own pace. Additionally, a class set of headphones allows me to assign different tasks to different students, depending on their needs. Headphones provide a way of differentiating instruction for all students!
