My students are incredible! They are in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. They are curious, inquisitive, hardworking, and dedicated.

My Project

School pride is an essential component in building a successful school community. Having pride gives students a sense of ownership. Each class promotes school pride by involving students in an aspect of the day or recognizing students for their strong leadership or academic skills.

These materials will help our classroom community promote our school pride.

I want all students to have the feeling of being proud and enthusiastic about our school. Student pride is important for two reasons. First, pride indicates that students are a part of the learning process, not merely observers. In other words, they have a vested interest in school. Second, students who have pride in their work and in their school actually tend to be more involved in school and earn better grades.
