Lion King on Broadway, Part 3

My Students

My students are eager kindergarteners. They are like sponges who soak up information and knowledge. The best way to do that is with hands-on activities, which includes taking part in the school play.

Do you remember the first time you saw Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumba?

My students are dramatic. Now I want to channel that drama to the small stage. They love being read to. Recently we have been talking about characters in books. They said they saw the movie and that day, proceeded to pretend to be puppies in class.

My Project

My students will be practicing for their performance of the Lion King during the school year. To commemorate their hard work, my students would like to go see Disney's "The Lion King" on Broadway. Many of them have seen the cartoon version of the Lion King. But none of them have seen it on Broadway, and many do not even know that "The Lion King" is a Broadway show.

This will be a great experience for many to see a live performance of this show.

They will be able to see the show and compare what they are doing and hopefully get inspiration from the show. You will make this a memorable experience for my students.
