Lingual Lessons-Spelling Kit

Help me give my students a spelling kit to increase their phonemic awareness. Having the ability to recognize the sounds that are made up of words is a vital skill for learning to spell and read.

My Students

As an educator, I strive to cultivate a learning environment that challenges the current knowledge of my students. It is through student engagement, enticing activities, interactive lectures, and classroom discussions that my student’s minds are being fostered for further development.

My students are innovators, leaders and they work diligently to engineer a path for themselves to accomplish their goals.

My students are fueled by the motivation that is unique to their own circumstances. They are engaged and eager to apply their curated viewpoints to lessons and challenges they face.

My Project

It is necessary for children to develop their phonemic awareness skills to understand how letters and sounds are represented in words. Without this knowledge, children tend to make up words.

Phonemic awareness is very important because it is a critical component of reading and spelling success.

Not being able to hear and manipulate the sounds that are within spoken words can be very challenging for children.

Although some people have a definite natural weakness in phonemic awareness, there are ways to teach and learn this skill. These skills are necessary for a child to master proficient decoding. They can be learned gradually and carried out in order to prepare the student for higher level skills such as fluency and multisyllable words.
