My Students

As the Occupational Therapist in an elementary school, I help my students with focusing and attending in the classroom. I embed many items to support students in need. I help classroom teachers with items and activities that may help a child engage in the learning process.

I work with special education students, at risk students through their teachers and the general education classroom.

Their is a lot of learning that is going on in our classrooms taught by our amazing teachers! I continue to learn and discover new ways to help our teachers and our students reach their potential in the learning process.

My Project

My students need Play-Doh, Wobble chairs, and plastic stamps. These materials can help strengthen hands, shoulders and bodies to be able to sit still, write and use classroom tools and engage in the learning process. Our teachers work very hard and as a team we want to promote, encourage and see success by our students. These materials can help promote the basic skills each child needs to be ready for school.

Many of these items can offer the students a chance to attend and focus which in turn promotes listening and hearing skills.

These skills are needed to promote and encourage the growth of learning.
