This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We're a group of 14 (and counting) kiddos in TK. Many of us live in a low socioeconomical situation. We are a part of a school that provides 100% free lunch for all its students. As we are a new TK course, we are starting with very little. It would be amazing if our teacher could have these tools to help us learn. Our teacher would love to add materials and play areas for our play-based learning to come together. This can include games, furniture, and dramatic play.

We've graduated from ankle biters to lil rebels with a cause: to make TK our year.

My Project

Most of these items will be used to further my students' classroom experience. Some of these items will be to help them engage when doing their play-based learning with scarves, toys etc.

I can not stress how many erasable markers I have gone through and I know these magic writing boards will do the trick.

They will help with handwriting and high frequency word practice without the dangers of markings or lost tops.

I want my students to do more art, but I currently don't have a proper place to put their completed projects without risking cross contamination. (It's happened before and was not pretty.) I think these trays and the tabletop drying rack will be a great way to allow me to do more art with the students.
