This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Who is that in the picture? The faces are blurry! This is the reaction we get when yearbook pictures are taken with our substandard camera. We create our yearbook using Powerpoint in order to keep our costs low. It would be great to guarantee clarity in all the photos we take during the year!

Our students are enthusiastic learners!

But over half are characterized as EDY (educationally disadvantaged youth). The majority received free or reduced price lunch and are in need of many resources. We are fortunate to have a caring staff who wants the best for our students!

My Project

We need a decent camera and memory card to take pictures for the school yearbook! The students love to see what they've accomplished and experienced over the years! Our yearbook is created by our 4th/5th grade students! Using Powerpoint, they create an affordable yearbook that showcases classroom activities, holidays, and field trips. One of our teachers prepares her class every year for a cultural performance and even arranges for the students to perform at a local museum! We would love to capture clear photos to highlight the school year's activities!

Our yearbook sales are used as a fundraiser for the school.

The more aesthetic the product, the more we can sell! I think a good quality camera will really make a difference! What a great memory book for the families! Thank you so much for your consideration!
