Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 23 second-graders at a Title 1 School in southern California. We are a small school consisting of approximately 300 students led by a passionate, supportive, and fun-loving principal. My students are eager and enthusiastic learners who are excited to learn. They may come from various circumstances and backgrounds, but in my classroom, they are equal partners and participants.

I strive to provide my students with a variety of opportunities to bring their learning to life and enhance the curriculum.

I'm always looking for ways to add more fun, rigor, and excitement to their learning, and to enrich my teaching skills and strategies.

My Project

I currently use the white board to project from my document reader.

In order to embrace technology for the 21st century, I need a projection screen and two brackets for mounting.

Using my white board as a screen is problematic and inconvenient because the board glares with the bright light, and I am unable to keep our notes and learning on the board. If we take a break and move into using GoNoodle, viewing our Scholastic News online, or displaying students' critical thinking, I have to erase all writing on the board. This will help us to use technology efficiently and effectively!
