My Students

My classroom is affected by the coronavirus pandemic because the school serves a diverse, low-income population with 98% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch and many students speak other languages. My students are resilient and hardworking. They are excited and inquisitive, which makes a great match for success.

Many of my students do not have many supplies.

I am now using Zoom and Microsoft Teams to teach, connect, and listen to the many challenges that they are experiencing while at home during this pandemic. I really want to make learning engaging for my students. I want the students to be excited about coming to class during our face-to-face sessions.

My Project

The pandemic has caused the 8th-grade student to miss out on the many planned fun activities that are usually planned before the students leave for high school. This school year I am planning to let the students get dressed in their prom attire and parents bring them out to the school and stay in the car while students get out and take pictures

The Camera, lights, and VegasDoggy 16PCS 20"x20" Artificial Boxwood Grass Backdrop Panels Topiary Hedge Plant will give an awesome background for professional pictures for my students to keep forever.
