This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are an elementary school located in the Bronx, NY. Our school is a Title I school with a 100% free and reduced lunch population. Most of our students are English Language Learners who have immigrated to the US in hopes of a better education.
Our students love engaging in fun activities that will help spark creativity.
They are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.
My Project
Our students are a dynamic and creative group. They enjoy watching, reading and acting in plays as they immerse in the English language. Their faces light up whenever we have the opportunity to present classroom plays.
Through this amazing project students will have the opportunity to watch several performances throughout the year at an affordable price!
Most of our students are new to the country and don’t have the resource or time to attend plays. This project will be a dream come true for our little actors and English language learners. With your help, we can provide memories that will last a lifetime!
