Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a wonderful class of 4th graders who not only love learning but also truly enjoy performing. For the past ten years, I’ve had the joy of directing the same musical play at the end of the school year—a fun and meaningful tradition that allows students to showcase their talents in front of their families. However, one ongoing challenge has been the condition of our costumes. I inherited them from a retiring teacher, and after years of use, they’ve certainly seen better days. It’s become clear that it’s time for a fresh start with newer, more durable costumes.

Providing updated costumes would be an incredible encouragement to my students.

Costumes do more than just enhance a performance—they help build confidence, promote teamwork, and add to the overall joy of learning through the arts. I believe every child deserves the chance to feel their best while doing their best, and new costumes would go a long way in making that happen. Thank you for considering helping us continue this special tradition in a way that inspires and uplifts our young performers.
