My Students
My Kindergarten class is in Northeast Florida in a rapidly growing county.
I have 18 children in an inclusion class that works closely with the special education teacher.
The children, who are 5 and 6 years old, are developing a true love of learning. They are very excited to learn as much as possible through lots of hands-on activities.
My students need materials to help reach their language arts, writing, math, small motor and technology goals. A very important part of our activities involves developing our sharing skills.
My Project
Bright, colorful activities greatly enhance learning in young children. What they really love are activities that they can get their hands on and really explore. It is extremely beneficial to special needs students who become more perceptive while their processing skills become more acute.
This project will help add more resources for use with our light up table while we reach children's different learning styles as we develop math, science and literacy skills.
The letter builders will give the children the opportunity to learn proper letter formation while the sensory bin will allow us to use our sensory beads with our light up table.
