Lighting Up Our Learning

My students need a light table, pattern blocks, and X-Rays as a way to explore not only letters, but also science and the world around them.

My Students

My students come from a small town in Montana.

We are separated from many big town experiences that many other kindergarten students would be able to access. Many of my students are from the Native American Reservation that is 20 miles away. Students do not have a chance to explore and learn about the world around them. Our school is a small, family-friendly school that does its best to accommodate students with drastically different needs.

My Project

Utilizing a light table in my classroom would allow students a hands-on fun way to explore letters, numbers, and other science materials which they might not have access too. The light table is a fun way to differentiate learning and to engage students with learning in a new innovative way. The x-ray set would be the perfect addition as a center during our human body unit or our animals unit. Allowing students to utilize the light table with pattern blocks will allow them to creatively explore manipulative's in a new way.

Donations to our project will allow our students to experience learning with a light table and all of the fun accessories.

It will allow learning to be new and engaging and fun. Getting a light table will allow us to approach learning in yet another way to help students who need something different.
