My Students

My students are busy bodies, it takes a lot of hands-on materials to keep them learning.

Our school is absolutely amazing, we live the motto "every child, every day, whatever it takes" on a daily basis.

I am privileged to be the teacher that teaches the youngest learners in our building. It is my responsibility to make sure that these four and five year old children have a positive first experience in school.

My Project

One of my favorite things about teaching such young learners is watching the excitement on their faces when they learn something new, their little faces light right up. I can already imagine how excited they will be to learn using a table that lights up right in front of their eyes. They will be able to use the new color blocks to build, which helps young learners learn about spatial relationships, balance, and weight. They will be able to use the light table accessories to sort things by their color, by their shape, and by size. The accessory kit also includes light up materials they can use to make patterns with, explore color mixing, and practice shape recognition.

Any time we can provide students with a new and unique way to experience learning we are giving them more opportunities to be successful, we may finally find a way to reach a child who isn't understanding a concept through traditional teaching.

The light table and accessories will be an amazing addition to our Pre-K classroom.
