Help me give my students a light table to encourage creative thinking, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills. Activities on a light table, like stacking, sorting, and manipulating objects, help develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing my Kindergarteners with a light table and the materials to go with it will encourage students to think creatively, develop spatial awareness, and work on fine motor skills.
Activities on a light table, like stacking, sorting, and manipulating objects, help children develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
These skills are important for future tasks like writing and tying shoelaces.
The illuminated surface of a light table can make familiar toys and materials feel new and exciting, encouraging children to explore them with their senses. It will be a great way to incorporate STEM activities into daily activities. I just know my students will be thrilled with this new addition to our classroom and utilize it during our center time, and free play time alike!
