My Students
Teaching kindergarten is fun and exciting. I teach in a Title I school. I am one of 6 kindergarten teachers in our building. I generally have about students in my classroom with one aide.
My students are all unique and learn in their own special ways at their own pace.
We have a variety of skills in my classroom, from students who can read to others that are learning the sounds of the letters. I want all my students to be successful in their educational journey. My aide and I promote many types of learning in my classroom to benefit every student.
My Project
One of my students favorite times of the day is learning centers. Students gain both literacy and math skills through the centers, as well as many social skills. I work hard to provide my students with meaningful experiences at these centers.
The table top light table would be a wonderful addition to the learning centers in my classroom.
I am lucky that I do have a sand and water table, but a light table would provide my learners with many more learning opportunities in the classroom. So many of my students are hands on, this center would allow for students to learn through many different hands on activities.
