Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Pre-K students attend school in a Title I NYC public school. Most of the students in my class come from low-income homes where Spanish is predominantly spoken. My students are very enthusiastic and excited about learning.
As their teacher I am very motivated to cultivate a love of learning where children are encouraged to explore, question and wonder.
I want to provide opportunities for them to investigate and make the connections that will give them the most meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students need new STEM materials in our class. We will be exploring light in the upcoming months. The light cube and the light accessories will give students a unique way to explore light. Most of my students are ELLs from low income families and these experiences are invaluable.
These materials will spark an interest and curiosity that will lead to exploration, thinking, questioning, and a lifetime love for learning.
Ultimately, these kinds of materials lead to lifelong exploration, questioning and learning. So, by donating to this project, you will help encourage a foundation for lifelong learning in our youngest learners.
