Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of 25 students who are eager to learn, all of which have free or reduced lunch due to financial limitations. Most if not all form low income households. My students have become driven in the area of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). They all have a desire to embrace new challenges that are placed before them and I aim to deliver.

My students, as a result of the recent COVID pandemic are forced to learn using the basics at home, they are eager to become more hands on

My goals are to expose my students to all academic opportunities whether remotely or hybrid to the best of my abilities. I hope to build morale by providing various projects where they can touch, see and experience various tasks. Unfortunately the class set of Edisons was vandalized and I am short 8 robots. With that being said I hope to provide enough robots so all my students equitably.

My Project

My wish would be to bring robotics and STEM into the classroom. I would like to do it in a specific way that supports the interest of not only my current students but to attract the interest of others, especially our female students.

These robots can be used in different yet engaging ways that support peer-collaboration, friendly competition, and creative themes.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their interest in math and science careers and ultimately improve academic achievement across the content. Students will be able to focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or last. Alignment with technology, math and science manipulatives will increase their technology skills.
