This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
So our original laser needed to be replaced and we were fortunate to receive a new one thanks to the generous donations made to our Donors Choose page! The new laser though does not work with the software that was free and that the students were comfortable with!
Lightburn works with all lasers and from what I can tell once we get the hang of it is a superior program to the free one we had been using!
Without software the laser will not work. There is a free program, but it requires another program as well and I feel hoping between two programs is going to confuse many of my students and be time consuming for them. Once we have the software it will be good theoretically forever, so we will be able to use it with many classes! I also included a new honeycomb tray and holding clips to use with the new laser!
