My students need 10 overhead projector replacement bulbs to help them SEE what we're learning for biology class.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Freeman's classroom raised $194
This project is fully funded
I teach biology at the Boston Community Leadership Academy-- a small public (pilot) school in Boston. Students come from diverse urban backgrounds and are considered high-need.
BCLA has an insufficient city budget for supplying teachers with essential classroom classroom needs. I use an overhead every day in my classroom-- 5 hours each day. At this rate, overhead lamps stop working after a just a few weeks. Every year we need a fresh supply of overhead lamps! Without an overhead, students struggle to focus on the task at hand.
I often display worksheets, objectives, do-now activities, and other instructions on the overhead. This helps all students, even those sitting far from the board, follow along with lessons. It keeps them focused, and gives a point of reference for non-auditory learners. My students will benefit from use of the overhead every day, without a doubt.
Your donation will help a small supply shortage make a big difference for 100 high school students.
