This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My electrifying electrical circuit builders want to take their light someplace they've never been before- their clothes! My students need coin cell battery holders with built-in terminals for conductive thread. With these battery holders, they will be able to design and sew electrical circuits directly onto their clothes and other fabrics.
My middle school technology students hope to broaden their understanding of how "smart-wearables" and other e-textiles are designed, how they function, and their practical applications.
Help light their way to a hands-on project in emerging technology. They can't believe they can sew a circuit. Let's light the way!
