This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In a world where small acts of kindness can make a big difference, our students are ready to light up our school with positivity! This student-led project will create gift bags for new students and those returning after illness, reminding them that they are supported and valued. Each bag will feature a handmade card with an uplifting message, designed by students using cardstock. They will thoughtfully select items like squishy toys for stress relief, needle pens and crazy pencils for fun writing, and playful trinkets like wind-up cars and mini backpacks to brighten anyone's day.
These gift bags will be assembled as “mystery bags” filled with treasures like plush stress balls, spinner soccer balls, and even playdough for hands-on creativity.
The goal is to spread kindness, inspire smiles, and foster a welcoming atmosphere within our school, all while encouraging students to take the lead in lifting up their peers in need of support.
