This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We love to explore new materials in our 3-K class, and we are looking to expand our science center by adding a light table and some additional materials to the space. This light table will help further our learning through play, allowing students to experiment with and explore the world around them.
Our light table will promote early STEM skills such as curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.
These skills will help our students as they prepare to move on to Pre-K and then kindergarten by giving them a foundation of scientific thinking and experimentation.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
