My Project
Our school is a pre-K through fifth grade school with over seven hundred students, including a large population of ELL students. Our students come from all different religious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Some of our students come from homes that speak one of nine different languages! We are also privileged to serve military families and children on an Air Force Military base.
My class is an Early Childhood Special Education class with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments with a heavy emphasis on Autism.
ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) is a world full of curious 4 and 5-year-old students. Everything they see, feel and touch is a new adventure to their senses and builds curiosity. Our students would benefit greatly from the addition of a light panel in our classroom.
This light panel and light table learning materials will give our special needs littles the experience of exploring light through play and engaging their senses.
The learning possibilities are endless! Help us bring light learning to our classroom of curious learners. You will truly make a difference in the lives of students for years to come at our Title 1 school.
