My Students
My students are a diverse group of learners who come from all over the city to attend our public Montessori school, which is one of four in the city. They range in age from 3-6 years old. They come to school with varied interests and are excited to learn more in the classroom, garden and computer lab!
These learners are always looking to move and explore.
This is my first year with this group of students, and I am so excited to learn more about them and their families!
My Project
Every morning, we look at the wall by our window to see if there is a shadow. If we see a shadow, we know that the sun is shining. We love observing light. A light table would make a great addition to our physics area. Children can make patterns and creative expressions using the manipulatives. During our nature walks, children can collect materials that we can also use on the table. The extensions are endless. Math and language skills will be reinforced with this new table. Most important, children will enjoy learning! The table is big enough for 2-4 friends to join at a time.
