My Students
My art students are curious little explorers from a vibrant neighborhood. We're just a stone's throw from Dallas's Bishop Arts District, the perfect setting for a great art program. They're flexing their wings and working to build skills that will make them lifelong, independent learners, creative thinkers, and confident problem solvers. The Art Room is a wonderful place to develop those skills as well as perseverance and self-control. They have the ambition and curiosity, now they just need the tools for the journey.
My Project
With a new projector bulb we can continue our international art investigations. A gel printing kit will allow us to explore a whole new medium and create some awesome art.
A terrible thing happened as we were looking at a gorgeous painting by Frida Kahlo - it just disappeared!
No, it wasn't an art heist, the projector bulb burned out. As you can imagine, it has put a serious dent in our day to day operations. We can no longer watch all the wonderful how-to videos that Ms. K has put hours into creating or get a close look at artworks. We're asking for two bulbs so that we can avoid this interruption in the future.
