My Project

I used my school funds to purchase a tabletop light table, but had no funds left to buy things to use with it. I would love to give my students engaging materials to use our light table for phonics and counting activities, along with fun play based activities that increase social and emotional skills. Students will be able to use the transparent letters and word cards to practice their phonics skills. Students will be able to make words, match letters to sounds, practice writing letters and words for independent practice. We will also be able to use some of the items for counting in math! They will be able to do sorting activities with the geometric shapes, matching the blocks and pebbles when counting, while being also being able to use the magnetic wands and chips for adding and subtracting activities. I am looking forward to creating activities to keep my students engaged and learning with our light table!

I am so excited to give my students activities that will increase their independent practice that will lead to becoming successful on their kindergarten standards.
