Light Up Our Learning

My Students

I never go through a day without a student's big smile and a happy wave in my school. My students come from a high-poverty area where resources are stretched thin. We are a Title I school where 83% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Often, my students struggle in school and really deserve the supplies they need to meet the standards they will eventually be tested on.

They are all visual learners and need concrete examples to help them understand and comprehend their learning skills.

My Project

My students just got a new fun light table for our classroom station time. We would love to have some magnetic blocks for building, linking cubes for math stations, and translucent lego blocks and connectors to work on fine motor skills. They are so excited to use our new table but right now we don't have many things to work with on it. I know my students would really get a lot of great use out of the materials. The linking cubes specifically will be used for counting, addition, and subtraction activities.
