Light Up Our Learning With a Light Table!

My Project

Play is the way to learn in our Pre-K classroom! Bringing in this space-saving light table to our small, but mighty learning environment would help us level up our play experiences and growth.

Light tables are versatile teaching and learning tools that can be used for open play, academic learning, sensory integration, and scientific discovery.

There are many benefits to young children who have the privilege to work on light tables.

They provoke imagination and improve observation skills. Light tables with manipulatives can improve emergent literacy, math, and science skills. They enhance problem-solving, spatial awareness, language development, as well as pattern and color recognition. Light tables provide opportunities for creative tasks, fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and pre-writing skills.

As you can see, we could go on and on about what my Pre-K friends would experience and gain from having this light table in our classroom. In a nutshell, young children learn through the use of a light table without even realizing it. For them, they are "just" having fun!
