My high school students bound into the classroom full of curiosity and craving to learn. Our population of 2000 students is diverse with minority groups comprising 60% of our school. I am motivated to provide them with high interest projects to help them make sense of our world while making their learning experience memorable and joyful.
The gratitude of my students makes me want to work harder to give them the best education possible.
In order to prepare them for the age they live in, I do my best to expose them to current practices in our modern world. To do this, I need your help to provide materials for hands-on biology and environmental science experiments.
My Project
We need replacement bulbs for our aquaponics tank so that students can grow plants in the classroom. In addition, I need a reference book on birds to help guide students in learning the birds that inhabit our school grounds and surrounding neighborhoods.
These materials will enhance my science curriculum and enable students to deepen their learning.
My students are really interested in nature, but they have little interaction or awareness of our urban wildlife.
These materials will be a wonderful support to our classroom and for my students.
