Help me give my students relief from florescent lighting. These light covers provide a cost-effective way to make my classroom more comfortable for learning while providing many benefits for students!
As a teacher, I give each child access to what they need to be successful. This project targets something that every student needs to be successful! A calming and comfortable learning environment free from the glare of flourescent lights can be achieved by using these covers. Benefits include better concentration, mood, and fewer health related effects of classroom fluorescent lighting. According to the website www.autismspeaks.org, “Many autistic people experience hypersensitivity to bright lights or certain light wavelengths (e.g., LED or fluorescent lights).” My project is a simple way to help all students, especially those who may have higher sensitivity to the classroom lighting.
Reading, writing, and learning beneath flourescent lights all day can cause eye strain, headaches, and further distractions for students.
By reducing glare and spreading out the light evenly, these covers will help me create a more natural and visually appealing setting where students will be able to concentrate to the best of their ability.
