My students need Firestix light-up drumsticks to enhance a really great blacklight performance that we will be doing next year! These drumsticks will also be used in the classroom for some great glow in the dark activities!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard working children that love to showcase their talents. They revel in opportunities to show others what they know and what they have been working on! They love new things and get very excited about new challenges.
Our projects will focus on giving our students those challenges that will only enhance their education in all areas and make them better human beings.
They have the yearning and desire to become a better version of themselves in all areas, and my music room will encourage this desire and fuel their enthusiasm!
My Project
Firestix are these incredibly cool light up drumsticks, but they only light up when they hit the drum!
To add a light up element to a lesson or performance will enhance their enthusiasm and therefore their learning because where there is passion, there is retention!
We are going to use them in the classroom for some great glow in the dark activities with our drums and beat boards with various songs that we sing and songs that we will play different rhythms to so that we can actively listen to that piece and practice our rhythms. Our two performing groups will use them in their concerts this year with blacklight portions and pieces.
