This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are wonderful kids that are eager to be challenged and inspired. They are a very diverse population in a low income area. We have a supportive school community due to the fact we are a Charter school. However, resources are limited as they are at most public schools. To keep these busy minds challenged and motivated, my students will need classroom materials to help them succeed in 2nd grade. I want to grow lifelong learners, Readers and leaders.
My Project
Today's kids learn as "digital natives." They are constantly around phones, tablets, and computers. We need two tablets for the classroom to help the students Read, and learn Math, Science, Social Studies, and more. My students would use the tablet to learn how to tell time on an analog clock, play Math games to help with their Math skills, Read e-books, and research different Science and Social Studies topics.
Let's prepare our students for the future and light the "Fire" for their learning.
The possibilities are endless with the amount of Apps they have in today's day and age. We would love to have interactive tools that our students could utilize in our classroom. In addition, we could read online e-books with the Amazon Fire tablets. Let's spark a "fire" for our student's learning.
