Students at our school look forward to our holiday concert each year. This year, they will be singing multicultural songs to celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Las Posadas. All students will be singing, playing an instrumental part, and performing choreography, including sign language. Some students have opted to perform a solo or speaking part.
For the finale of the 2nd and 3rd grade holiday performance, 175 students will be performing "Light the Candles All Around the World," by Teresa Jennings.
The song begins with a gentle solo describing how all people around the world have their own holiday celebrations. Next, the group joins in singing to express their desire to sing as one world, all together, in harmony. The addition of a candle-lighting ceremony will make this inspiring song even more impactful.
