Light STEAM Work!

Help me give my students light tables for exciting learning activities and STEAM work.

My Project

Our classroom has one light table that just stopped working and we need to at least replace it. We would like to do better than that. We already know our students love light table practice and we have many activities we want to do and content we want to explore with a light table. Multiple table-top light panels for our classroom will mean more students can practice and explore more often than they could when we were sharing one table.

Light panels offer so many opportunities for learning and practice and our students are naturally excited to work with them.

It isn’t just shapes, letters, numbers, and colors we can explore and practice. Many times we just want to try to see things a new way or invite students to observe changes in perception that only light can cause.

Our community demographic of high poverty (over 70%) tells us that special experiences like working with a light panel are only going to be available to kids in school. We would love to use light panels to ignite our kids’ curiosity and guide their exploration of light and all that it affects.
