This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our 5th Grade students are expected to complete four science investigations by the end of the school year. Without the proper scientific tools that will be quite challenging. The 1.5v mini bulbs and holders, battery holder, cut-off switch and cables will help my 5th Grade students gain a deeper understanding on how circuit boards are built and how these transfer energy and convert it from one form to another.
By donating to our project, my students will be able to create an electrical circuit and provide the evidence needed for understanding energy transfer and energy conversions.
The science materials selected for this project, are missing from our current Amplify Science kits. These investigations are now a 5th Grade New York State expectation. With these resources my 5th grade students will have a greater opportunity to successfully complete the Investigation: Light It Up.
