Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our scholars are eager to learn and very creative. They are smart, funny, and very talented, and they really love it when their efforts are recognized. Our mission is to simply help them stay creative by shining a light on their efforts. Though some come from various cultures, social-economic environments and from challenging social environments, our students strive everyday to make adjustments and overcome.
We see talent and courage when we see our students.
They are great performers, and when they put their mind to it, excellence is the result.
We want to take them to perform their best and provide an experience that they can take with them for the rest of their lives through the arts. Shining a light on our students helps them find their passion and explore it further. Our scholars want are seeking an opportunity where they can pursue a passion that is arising in them. Students are able to perform and continue working on their talent.
My Project
After all their hard work of rehearsals memorizing projecting their voice, students have to be seen; their costumes and their facial expressions are also part of the show. In addition, they will also be able to learn the basic operation of lighting equipment and make connections to other careers that do not usually attract general attention.
These lighting materials will allow student's efforts to be experienced in a more complete way.
They will support the hard work they underwent to portray their characters.
These materials will also contribute to students having great memorable experiences in the performing arts. This might be the greatest takeaway from this entire experience.
